The Gesher Assessment Centre specialises in private diagnostic assessments for children (aged 4 and over), adolescents, and young adults up to the age of 25, who may be showing attributes of autism, ADHD or other related conditions such as dyspraxia. Our assessments are conducted by an experienced multidisciplinary team including a Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, and Speech and Language Therapist.

Gesher Assessment Centre  offers a unique model with support throughout the process:

  • A highly experienced multi-disciplinary team undertakes a comprehensive assessment.
  • A free 30-minute telephone consultation so you can ensure that assessment is right for you
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of ages.
  • Guidance on the type of assessment that may be required with information about other assessments that might be recommended (e.g. cognitive, dyspraxia)
  • A dual assessment process for autism and ADHD if this is recommended.
  • Timely assessments with online booking.
  • Assessments follow NICE guidelines.
  • Our diagnostic assessments include a range of standardised questionnaires and tests such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, 3di5, SRS, Qb-check, Conners-4, and Young Diva 5.

The Gesher Assessment Centre and Gesher School have been set up by the same founding team, which includes parents of children with different educational needs. Our connection means we can listen and respond to the experiences and needs of our parents, caregivers, children and young people. We know about the stress and anxiety around the long wait for assessment and diagnosis, and that timely support makes a huge difference to everyone’s experience.

Having an assessment at the Gesher Assessment Centre does not in any way increase your child’s chance of being offered a place at Gesher School. Similarly, if your child attends Gesher School you will need to follow the same process as others to book a free initial consultation and to start the diagnostic assessment journey with the Gesher Assessment Centre.
