D’vash class have been busy this week learning all about how to be a good friend, linked to our ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ focus. We all shared our ideas about what we should do to be a good friend and made posters for display. I have been excited to see how the D’vash children have been developing their social skills with adults in the school and their friends in class and in the playground. Positive interactions with peers are a key part of our daily learning in D’vash and I am proud to see the children all working hard to share their play with their friends!
Hello everyone, D’vash class have settled in brilliantly after the holidays and made a great start to Autumn Two term. This term we are learning all about Space, a topic that the children are very interested in. We have read lots of Space themed books, done Space themed art and messy play and had a great time dressing up as Aliens and Astronauts. I am so proud of how well all of the children in D’vash are doing at recognising and learning to manage their emotions. We use the Zones of Regulation to talk each day about how we are feeling or how our friends are feeling. We are continuing to practice managing our emotions and using strategies to get back to the ‘Green Monster’ so we are ready for learning!
Hi everyone! D’Vash class have been working so hard over the past two weeks. The children are getting to know each other better and we are starting to see some lovely friendships developing. We have been concentrating hard in lessons and have been learning about shape and size. Last week we focused on making a family tree in Literacy and the children loved sharing photos of their families! D’Vash class have also been doing lots of exploring in the forest area. Well done D’Vash class for all your hard work and being lots of fun!
Shabbat Shalom, Miss Leigh.
D’vash class have had an amazing first two weeks at Gesher. All of our new children have settled in so well. I am very proud of how helpful and friendly all of the Gesher children have been towards them. We have been busy with lots of fun activities; art, cooking, P.E., Jewish Studies, Maths, Literacy, bucket time and lots of messy play. The children have all participated well in OT, SaLT and dramatherapy sessions. We have been learning school routines and had a great experience on Wednesday with our Rosh Hashana enrichment day. I am looking forward to an exciting year, filled with lots of achievements for D’vash!
